Varilux University and Essilor Bulgaria EOOD organized a second academic session in Bulgaria. The topic was “Be Ready for the Challenge Presbyopia” on 15-17 Oct in the town of Veliko Tarnovo. It is the old medieval capital of Bulgaria which is situated in the center of the country. More than 40 opticians from all over the country took part in the session. Dominique Meslin, Beatriz de la Cruz and Michele Alexandre of Varilux University, Paris and Nick Hornsby, Training Manager of Essilor Eastern Europe were the lecturers on the session. The presentations were highly appreciated by the opticians and interesting discussions on the presbyopia took place during them.

Varilux University is a part of Essilor International and its mission is to provide continuing education for eyecare professionals. It is created in 1998 and it has conducted more than 500 educational sessions with 10 000 participants all over the world. The first session of Varilux University organized  by Essilor Bulgaria EOOD took place in 2008.
